The West Virginia Aquaculture Association was founded in March 1992 for the purposes of promoting and protecting the development and welfare of the aquaculture industry in West Virginia.  The association, through the direction of its members, provides a single voice to the aquaculture industry on matters of importance to the industry as a whole.  The WVAA assists members in coordinating activities with regard to production, marketing, sanitation and disease control, educational and research programming, legislation, and regulatory programs.
